About Ann Mac Prevost
I graduated in 2005 from Clemson University and went to the University of South Carolina for graduate school and received an Ed.S. in Counselor Education (Marriage, Couples & Family Counseling) in 2008. I worked in the group private practice setting providing individual and family therapy services to children, teens & adults prior to opening Ann Mac Prevost Counseling in 2020.
I am very interested in health & wellness. I believe that there is a relationship between our physical and mental health. I recently completed a course in Advanced Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health Professionals. I am excited about integrating a holistic and integrative approach to my counseling practice, if desired by clients. I am a Certified Children’s Yoga Instructor and incorporate deep breathing, mindfulness strategies, and relaxation techniques in counseling as an adjunct to treatment when appropriate.
On a personal note, I live in Columbia SC with my husband and two children, ages 5 & 7. Quarantine life led me to get certified in TeleMental health. I know first hand that parenting during covid-19 has been stressful. Children and families have been faced with so many fears and challenges during this pandemic. If you or your child is searching for a therapist, please do not hesitate to call to see if we are a good fit.
